Loudoun County Public Schools Launches ACCESS Academy, Preparing Students for Future-Ready IT Careers

Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS), in partnership with George Mason University’s College of Education and Human Development and Northern Virginia Community College, announces the launch of the Accelerated College and Employability Skills (ACCESS) Academy at Potomac Falls High School. This innovative program offers students in grades 9-12 across the Commonwealth a transformative educational experience designed to prepare them for high-demand careers in information technology (IT).

ACCESS Academy blends problem-based learning, hands-on industry collaboration and an industry-aligned, research-driven curriculum to equip students with critical thinking, teamwork and technical skills essential for future success. Students will graduate with a standard diploma while earning dual-enrollment credits, micro-credentials and industry-recognized certifications, providing a seamless transition into the workplace, 2- or 4-year IT degree programs.
